Painted Barn Quilt Workshop on Saturday,June 6th, from 10am-2pm. Instructor Carol Mitchell
will lead participants in creating their own 2’ x 2’ painted barn quilt.

Join us for a reception, honoring our June-July gallery artist, Dori Settles. Dori's exhibit “Shoes as Storytellers” features hand crafted glass shoes and the stories behind them. The reception will be held from 1:00-3:00pm in the Lucas Mansion's second floor art gallery. There is no charge for admission to this event.

The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center is excited to announce that its Summer on the Squareconcert will take place on Friday, August 8, 2026—and this year brings a fresh new twist focused on celebrating homegrown talent.
In a special effort to highlight the creativity within our own community, this year’s concert will showcase local performers from Alexander County.

The Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center will host the 45th Annual Hiddenite Celebration of the Arts on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. along Hiddenite Church Road in Alexander County.

Join Sally Warren as she instructs pottery for all levels on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Center's Education Complex. Class takes place in a fully equipped pottery studio! Students of all levels enjoy creative freedom as Sally facilitates and teaches various pottery techniques. The Basic Heritage Homeschool class will take place from September through May! Parents remain with their children and play a special part in the learning experience. The class series keeps the family at heart and is open to students from kindergarten through high school!

The gallery is located on the second floor of The Lucas Mansion in the Main Gallery and will be on display during the months of June/July.
