Learn more about alexander county

Visit the Alexander County Visitor Center housed in the historic Lucas Mansion!

In 2013, the Alexander County government began a partnership with the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center to house the Alexander County Visitor Center in the historic Lucas Mansion. This unique collaboration has enhanced the County’s presence in terms of visitor information and tourism while strengthening the Center’s role within the community.

Call the Visitor Center at 828-632-8141, e-mail info@hiddenitearts.org, or stop by the Lucas Mansion to request information about Alexander County!  Whether visiting, showing folks around the area, passing through, or just moving into town, the Visitor’s Center is loaded with information about must-see area attractions, businesses, and events in Alexander County and the surrounding area.

DIRECTIONS:  The Lucas Mansion is located at 316 Hiddenite Church Rd in Hiddenite,  just 3 blocks from Highway 64 and only 5 miles east of Taylorsville!  For visual reference,  we are only .4 Miles north of The Yellow Deli, .9 miles southwest of Emerald Hollow Mine, and 5.4 miles south of the Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area!
