REGISTER 1/26 or 1/27: The Center is hosting a mystery dinner event on Fri, 1/26/24 & Sat, 1/27/24. Travel back to the 1920’s when the Lucas Mansion was bustling with visitors as we solve a murder mystery. Guests 21 and over are required to dress in a roaring twenties theme. Limited tickets are available for this first ever fantastical event. Promptly arrive at 6:15pm for appetizers and details about the evening. A catered dinner will be served in the mansion’s main art gallery.
REGISTER HERE Celebrate Burns Night at the Hiddenite Center Educational Complex Ballroom on Thursday, 1/25/24, at 6:30 pm! A Burns Supper is a Scottish celebration that honors the life and poetry of Robert Burns, a well-loved Scottish poet. Burns Night will feature music by Celtic Echoes! Additionally, guests will enjoy a traditional menu of wassail, Scottish highland chicken, haggis, glazed carrots, Pan Haggerty, baps, & cranachan. The deadline to register for this event is 1/18/24.
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED Just in time for Christmas, the Hiddenite Arts & Heritage Center once again announces a Retro Lighted Ceramic Christmas Tree Painting Party at the Hiddenite Center’s Educational Complex (70 Hiddenite Church Rd, Hiddenite) on Tuesday, December 5th from 6-9:00 p.m. Artist Kim Stine will facilitate this class where participants paint their own 13" lighted trees! This class is recommended for ages 14 through adult. Registration closes Nov. 22nd. Feel free to bring snacks!

Instructor Vickie Hendren will guide students as they create their own masterpieces! We provide all art supplies! This class is designed for 7-12-year-olds and is $30 for the entire session. Parents remain with their children and play a special part in the learning experience. The class series keeps the family at heart; we have students from kindergarten - high school! Pottery Class: Join Sally Warren as she instructs pottery for all levels on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Center's Education Complex. Class takes place in a fully equipped pottery studio! Students of all levels enjoy creative freedom as Sally facilitates and teaches various pottery techniques. Healing with Art: All are welcome to join this open studio class! Participants are asked to bring their own art supplies and can expect to learn to paint or hone their skills with instructor Heather Friday on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Center’s Educational Complex. Participants may contact the Center for assistance in selecting supplies to bring. This class has been designed to teach the principles of art in a positive environment that fosters creative growth and reflection.
