The event promises a delightful dining experience accompanied by a live and silent auction. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be allocated towards preserving the Lucas Mansion, a historic landmark. Presenting a unique and exciting heritage workshop designed specifically for kids! Join slingshot expert Arthur Duncan for two workshops geared toward teaching kids the art of slingshots! The NC Heritage Fair will be Wed, April 24th, at the Center’s educational complex. Attendees will get to see, touch, and feel elements of North Carolina’s history during this one-of-a-kind educational event! Guests can expect live demonstrations, costumed historical interpreters, and interactive hands-on learning opportunities. Time blocks will start at 8:45 am, 10:15 am, and 12:30 pm. See Winnie the Pooh at our Educational Complex on April 25th at 9:30 am. The ASU Young People's Theater is bringing back to life the timeless tales of Winnie-the-Pooh and his beloved companions. This interactive stage production, originally written by A.A. Milne as a gift to his son, Christopher Robin, is a light-hearted rendition that is sure to delight people of all ages. Join us for a crochet workshop suitable for both adults and kids on Sat, 5/18 from 10am to noon at the Hiddenite Center’s Educational Complex. Participants will learn fundamental crocheting skills. Additionally, students will receive resources to support their progress. Instructor Lisa Ray's goal is to inspire others to create beautiful and practical fiber art pieces.
